Space
Our topic for Autumn 2013 is 'Space' and started with a visit to Glasgow Science Museum. As well as exploring all the amazing activities and exhibits, we visited the planetarium and watched a show about the stars and constellations in the night sky.

Back in school, we have been busy learning about our solar system, all the different planets in it and how they orbit the sun. The children have written 'Planet Postcards' abour what life is like on each planet. We have also been exploring forces, such as how rockets launch and how gravity works. Miss Reed came in to class 1 to tell the children what life was like for astronauts. She will be visiting class 2 later in the term.

The children made some wonderful news report videos, working with technicians from William Howard High School. Follow this link to see our Alien Pod Landing video.
