Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium allocation for school funding, 2016/17 = £6,960 (this includes £2,640 ever 6 Pupil Premium and £2,100 Service Child Pupil Premium)

At Lanercost CE Primary School, the Pupil Premium funding figure shown above has been used to narrow attainment gaps between groups of pupils. This is through:

•employment of teaching assistants to provide additional support
•1 to 1 tuition
•the funding of educational visits
•small group tuition
•professional development for staff
•transition projects between secondary and primary
•Distance writing project
Analysis of results indicates that, although relatively few children at Lanercost are disadvantaged, they make better than expected progress.

Pupil Premium Strategy

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers.
