Class 3 This Spring our creative topic is 'Megastructures'. The topic started with an inspiring 'Making day' with children working in groups to create different structures from round the world with recyclable materials. As part of the topic, we will be finding out about different structures both locally and round the world; thinking about the geography and history of them and considering the positive and negative impact of the structures on people and the environment. Later in the term we will be visiting Newcastle to find out about some of the larger structures in the city.
We will be looking at the value of Compassion this term through our Collective Worship and in RE Year 4 will be thinking about the question ‘What does it mean to be a Muslim in British society today?’ . Year 3 will be looking at the question 'Why and how do different faiths pray?’
PE will be on a Tuesday afternoon with Year 3 doing gymnastics with Julie Kidd and Mrs Clarricoats and Year 4 swimming up until half term when they will swap over. After half term, children will be doing yoga on a Friday afternoon. In science this term we will be finding out all about digestion and teeth through different exciting experiments and practical activities.
