London 2015 Day 1: Our first day of the London residential went well. We got here safely and spent the afternoon in Covent Garden watching the street entertainers before heading off to Drury Lane to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The scenery and the acting were spectacular - the children thoroughly enjoyed it! After that, we were off to Cafe Belgo before returning to our accommodation.
Day 2: All us of safe, well and happy after a long and tiring day in London. We began with the London Eye, a quick walk down to the Tate Britain for some culture and then it was off to the Houses of Parliament for the afternoon. We finished the day in the Giraffe cafe on the banks of the Thames - lots of people commenting on how wonderfully polite and well behaved the children are.
Day3: Our final day in London was action packed; we hiked up the 365 feet to the top of the St Paul's Cathdral, viewing the sky line from the Golden Gallery, had a look around the impressive interior which included seeing Nelson's and Wellington's tombs. Lunch at Pizza Express followed by an interesting walk to the Shard. This was an amazing experience, 1000 feet in 60 seconds! We then rushed on to the National Gallery to see the Ambassadors by Holbein and finally a rather long train journey home!!!
