National Tests
At Lanercost Church of England Primary School, we believe that children should have a love of learning across all subjects in and out of school. Each year, there are National Assessments that children take part in.
- All children in Year One take part in the Phonics Screening Test.
- All children in Year Four take part in the Multiplication Check.
- All children in Year Six take part in SATS for Reading, Writng, Mathematics and SPaG.
National tests are a measure of learning at a particular point in time - our learning in school goes on beyond these to the very last week of term and throughout each child's life.
We strive to encourage children as they undertake the national tests, helping them to achieve their utmost, within a relaxed and supportive environment.
